Ryan Nattrass is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for HIV Research. He completed his undergraduate-degree BSc in Physiology at The University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. He then went on to study a Masters in Immunological research techniques focussing on phenotyping the activation of the adaptive-immune system by antibiotic-drugs. Subsequently, he was awarded a PhD at The MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science at The University of Liverpool working on the development and use of a model to investigate delayed-type drug-induced hypersensitivity reactions to β-lactam containing antibiotics, graduating in 2015. He then pursued a self-entrepreneurial endeavour before returning to research-science and Immunology in 2018 at the lab of Prof Hendrik Streeck in Essen.
