Jernej Pusnik

Jernej Pusnik is a PhD student working at the Institute for HIV Research of University Hospital Essen. In 2014 he has acquired Bachelor´s degree in Biochemistry and in 2017 Master of Biochemistry title at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has successfully defended his master work following three years of research work at the Department of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences at national research institute Jozef Stefan, where he has investigated venom gland transcriptome of Western sand viper as a source of pharmacologically important compounds. After completion of master studies he has joined Institute for HIV Research where he is focusing on a crosstalk between innate and adaptive immunity in settings of HIV infection.
