Bianca studied Biology at RWTH Aachen University, following her early interest to major in immunology and molecular biotechnology. She then moved to Heidelberg, Germany to pursue a doctorate in T cell immunology. Her fascination with infectiology and specifically HIV led her to follow-up on her PhD with a postdoc at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the field of HIV restriction factors to study virus-host interactions. Returning to both her immunology roots and her home country she then joined our team at the Institute for HIV Research.
